Our Journey
Faith and a desire to build a better community can be powerful motivators for individuals to serve those in need. Inspired by our faith, we see community service as a way to put our beliefs into action, and demonstrate love and compassion towards fellow community members.
By serving others, we fulfill our divine purpose and embody the teachings of our faith.
Additionally, as part of the community we serve, our desire to make it better drives us to address the immediate needs of individuals who may be struggling with food insecurity or lack of essential items. We recognize that a strong community is built on the foundation of caring for one another and ensuring that everyone’s basic needs are met. By providing food, sundry items, and other support we aim to alleviate the immediate hardships faced by individuals and families, fostering a sense of solidarity and support within the community.
Moreover, we’re inspired to go beyond just providing material assistance. We understand that true service involves more than just meeting physical needs; it also encompasses offering emotional support, a listening ear, and a sense of hope to those served. We make is clear to all we encounter that they are valued and respected, offering a compassionate and non-judgmental space for people to share their stories and find solace. Be providing consistently great service, we aim to uplift the spirits of those in need and instill a sense of dignity and worthiness in all.
We are called to do this work in response to the needs of our local community, and assist the homeless in Lancaster. Our goal is to make our community stronger by meeting its needs where the community is.
